Where The Wild Things Are – A ‘Natural’ Make Up Artist Photography Shoot
I’m lucky enough to be able to shoot a lot of my work in and around Saddleworth. This make up artist photography shoot was for Olivia Jade; a talented MUA.
The inspiration for the shoot was the film ‘Where The Wild Things Are’ and the location was Dovestones Nature Reservoir.
It’s All in the Light
The brief of this make up artist photography shoot was natural images to go with the natural, understated make up.
I used the natural light supplemented by flash. It was a winters day and quite dull so I used the flash to bring a bit of a ‘pop’ to the images. I employ the backlighting technique quite often as we have to replicate the sun here in Manchester! This technique involves flash units with one to the rear with a warm orange gel on to give that lovely warm feeling.
Jasmin the model was brilliant. Its great to work with talented models and makes my job a lot easier! @jasminemaddoxImage
