Ferrari car shoot in Castlefield Manchester

Classic and sports car photography Manchester

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Brian Classic and Co for quite a while now. I must say for a petrolhead like me it’s a pretty nice job.

The shot above is taken by myself harnessed into the back of my van with my battery powered studio lights clamped into place. It’s being able to light the image in this way that gives the pin sharp pan that you wouldn’t normally attain by just using standard photographic panning techniques alone.

Classic Ferrari photoshoot in Castlefield, Manchester

For this shoot Brian Classics wanted a high end car photoshoot in Manchester to really let this gorgeous Ferrari 308 shine.

Castle field in Manchester is now a swanky place full of nice bars and restaurants . There’s still plenty of it’s industrial past though to make this a go to place for many a photoshoot.

Shooting in the ‘golden hour’ is something us photographers look for but it can through up some problems with shadows. These shots were taken with the help of the previously mentioned battery powered studio light filling in those shadowy details ensuring that non of the lovely detail of this Ferrari were missed.

Light painting the Ferrari

The last shot we added for a bit of fun. Light painting is a technique first used by Picaso. Its something I do at Festivals and shows as workshops and entertainment but can look well with cars don’t you think
